Dell Inspiron G7 7588 Laptop for Sale and Rental
Review
The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 delivers amazing battery life, powerful performance and a durable design, making it the best business ultraportable yet.
Common Questions
The ThinkPad X series is a slim of notebook computers and are convertible tablets originally brought by IBM and now marketed by Lenovo. … The first X Series laptop is “slimmer than a deck of the card” and “lighter than a half-gallon of milk”, despite the presence of a 12.1-inch Thin-film transistor (TFT LCD) display.
I went with the ThinkPad X240 because it is a tool that suits the way I work and assist me in functioning at a higher level. The laptop is not only speed on its own, but it also makes me more quickly, thanks to a durable chassis that balances correctly on my lap and a best-in-class keyboard.
Performance
Similar to our last reviews, the X240 once again uses the Core i7-4600U, which is presently Intel’s high processor with a TDP of 15 Watts. The cautious dual-core assist Hyperthreading and runs at 2.1 GHz, but can have overclocked up to the 3.3 GHz (2 cores: 2.9 GHz) via Turbo Boost.
Display
Full HD and IPS Panel
Because of the enlarge resolution from 1366×768 to 1920×1080 pixel (with the same diagonal size of 12.5 inches), the pixel density makes a big jump as well. Rather than 125, the display has an impressive 176ppi, which results in a very sharp presentation even with small considering distances.
Battery
X240 uses two batteries with a volume of 24 Wh each One module has screwed into the case, whereas the other one can attach at the back and you can even replace the latter with a bigger version with up to 72 Wh (ThinkPad Battery 68+).
Verdict
The less expensive WXGA IPS version also provides stable viewing angles and robust background illumination, but both panels cannot convince us in terms of colors. Still we would only have hoped for best performance. The X240 is one of the better subnotebooks of its class, and we don’t want to get the details of highlights like the excellent keyboard or the low emissions once again. However, the case is not different with devices from HP or Dell so that we can give the deserved purchase recommendation for the Lenovo X240.
